Church Picnic — TODAY. Instead of Church in the Park, regular services will be at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM here at the church. After the second service, enjoy a full church picnic together.

Men’s Retreat — Friday & Saturday, Sept. 18–19 at Mahaffey Camp & Conference Center for men 18 and older. Cost is $100 and includes meals, lodging, and all weekend activities. Sign up on your Connection Card. Last day to sign up is Sunday, Sept. 13.

Sight and Sound Trip — gFree Church Life is sponsoring a bus trip to Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA to see Joshua on Oct. 24, 2026. Show time is 11:00 AM. We will leave from the church parking lot and time is to be determined. Price is $225 per adult and $155 per child, including transportation, the show, and a buffet meal at Hershey Farms. Fall Kickoff — Sept. 6, 12:30–3:00 PM. Youth is back with a cookout, a 100-foot slip-n-slide, Water Balloon Battleship, and other water fun.

Starting 9/13 for four weeks: The Book of John — A youth series exploring miracles, ministry, life, and death of Jesus.

Operation Christmas Child — Boxes are due back today. Please drop them in the Welcome Room at the table.

Pennies for Presents — Starting Sunday, Sept. 6 through Sunday, Oct. 25, Children’s Ministries will partner with missionaries Rich & Laurie Sherrif to provide gifts for special needs kids/families through their Movimiento Agape program by collecting pennies (any change/dollars are welcome).

gFree Courageous Kids — Starting Sept. 3! Kids in grades 4th–6th meet weekly on Thursday nights at 6:00 PM for Bible lessons, hands-on activities, and prayer.

Youth Meals — Regular youth meetings resume 9/13 from 12:30–2:00 PM with lunch. Sign up to bring a meal by email, QR code, or your Connection Card.

Courageous Kids – End-of-Summer Party cancelled today due to weather. Move-up ceremony for kids moving up is still happening today at 12:30pm in the Activities Room.

Missions Fire Night - Sunday, August 23rd at 6pm. Come out for a fire night with The Sheriff’s! Hot dogs and drinks will be provided — just bring a side or dessert to share. It’ll be a great evening of fellowship as we hear stories of what God is doing in Chile. Be sure to sign up on your Connection Card.

gFree Courageous Kids - IT’S BACK! Starting September 3rd! Kids in grades 4th-6th join us weekly on Thursday nights at 6pm for Courageous Kids Club! The choir will include secular music along with a few Christian selections, and participants do not need to be affiliated with any church. A Parent/Participant Meeting for youth ages 4–9 and 10–18 will be held on Tuesday, July 7th at 6:30pm at First Church of Christ, 1437 Tyrone Pike, Philipsburg.
