Growing Faith

Following Jesus is a lifelong journey. We encourage one another to grow through worship, prayer, serving, giving, learning, and meaningful relationships.

We depend on God in everything we do. We want prayer to shape our church, our decisions, our ministries, and our care for one another.

Serving

We believe serving is part of discipleship. Everyone has a role to play, and we want to use our gifts to serve the church and bless the community.

No one should have to walk through life alone. We value groups, teams, friendships, and relationships that help people grow and belong.

Our Story

gFree Church began as Gearhartville Free Methodist Church, a Free Methodist congregation started near Philipsburg in 1891. What began in a small, simple building has grown over the years through faithful pastors, leaders, families, and ministries committed to sharing Jesus with the community.

In 2010, the church began using the name gFree Church to make our name simpler and help us connect with people throughout the wider Moshannon Valley. While the name became shorter, the mission stayed the same.
