Our Faith
What We Believe
Our beliefs are centered on Jesus, grounded in the Bible, and shaped by the historic Christian faith in the Free Methodist way of life.
At gFree Church
We believe the good news of Jesus is for everyone. Our faith is rooted in Scripture, centered on Christ, and lived out through worship, discipleship, service, and mission.
We Believe in God
We believe in one true and living God who is eternally powerful, wise, good, righteous, loving, and faithful. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all life. We believe God exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — three distinct Persons, yet one God.
We Believe the Bible Is God’s Word
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the authority for our beliefs, choices, and way of life.
We Believe People Need Grace
We believe all people have sinned and are separated from God. But because of God’s never-ending love, He has made a way for every person to be restored to Him.
We Believe Salvation Comes Through Jesus
We believe our only hope is Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to reconcile us to God. Salvation is a gift from God. It cannot be earned by being good enough. We receive this gift through repentance and faith.
We Believe the Holy Spirit Transforms Us
We believe the Holy Spirit heals, transforms, and empowers us to live God-centered lives.
We Believe the Church Has a Mission
We believe the Church is God’s creation and the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. The mission of the Church is to share the good news of Jesus and welcome people into a community of faith.
We Believe Following Jesus Is a Daily Journey
The Christian life is a daily journey of becoming who God created us to be. We grow through worship, prayer, serving, giving, and connecting with one another. We were not meant to do this alone.
We Believe Jesus Will Return
We believe the return of Jesus Christ is real and that all people will answer to God for the life they have lived. We believe in eternal life with God or eternal separation from God. This gives urgency to our mission because every person matters to God.
gFree Church is part of the Free Methodist Church USA, a movement rooted in biblical faith, Wesleyan theology, freedom, holiness, compassion, and mission.
