Welcome!
Hospitality is often one of the first ways people experience the heart of our church.
Before someone hears a song, listens to a sermon, or fills out a Connection Card, they are usually met by a smile, a welcome, a helpful answer, or a simple act of kindness.
Our Hospitality Ministry helps create a warm and welcoming environment where guests, families, and regular attenders feel comfortable, cared for, and glad they came.
Greeters
Greeters help set the tone for Sunday morning.
They welcome people at the doors, offer a friendly smile, answer simple questions, and help guests know where to go. For someone visiting for the first time, a kind greeting can make a big difference.
Hospitality helps make sure no one feels invisible, confused, or unsure where they belong.
Welcome Room
The Welcome Room is a place for connection.
Hospitality helps prepare and care for this space by managing snacks, coffee, tea, water, and other refreshments. This ministry also helps keep the area clean, inviting, and ready for conversations before and after worship.
A simple cup of coffee or snack can become the start of a meaningful relationship.
Helping People Find Their Way
A church building can feel unfamiliar to new people.
Hospitality helps guests find the Worship Room, Kid’s Zone, restrooms, seating, information, and the people who can help answer questions. This ministry is especially important for first-time guests, families with kids, older adults, and anyone who may need a little extra help.
The goal is simple: help people feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they arrive.
Preparing the Spaces
Hospitality also helps make sure our gathering spaces look and feel welcoming.
That may include checking the Welcome Room, straightening chairs, making sure the Worship Room is ready, noticing small details, and helping the building feel clean, comfortable, and prepared for worship.
These behind-the-scenes details matter because they help people focus on worship, connection, and hearing from God.
A Ministry of Welcome
Hospitality is more than a task list. It is a ministry of welcome.
Every greeting, every cup of coffee, every clean table, every helpful direction, and every thoughtful detail helps communicate that people matter to God and to us.
If you enjoy helping people feel at home, Hospitality may be a great place for you to serve.
